Welcome to my warm and nurturing space! I'm Fran, an integrative psychotherapeutic counsellor. Here, you can freely explore, grow, and find the support you need. With years of experience and a deep understanding of the human experience, I believe in the power of building a strong therapeutic relationship based on trust, respect, and collaboration.
About me and my practice
Do you feel like youre carrying too much emotionally, physically, or mentally? Maybe youre dealing with burnout, navigating a diagnosis, or struggling with identity or self-worth. It can feel exhausting trying to manage it all alone.
Im a BACP-accredited, trauma-informed counsellor offering remote therapy for adults and young people (16+) across the UK. I work with people from all backgrounds and am a committed ally to LGBTQIA+ and neurodivergent communities. I also support clients living with chronic illness, disability, or sight loss and the impact this can have on their relationships or support networks.
As a Black British Caribbean woman with lived experience of health challenges, I offer a warm, respectful space where you can begin to untangle whats going on and feel more grounded in who you are. You dont need to have it all figured out just come as you are.
Experience
As an integrative counsellor, I strive to create a welcoming and supportive space where you can feel comfortable exploring your thoughts and emotions. I recognise that everyone is unique, so I draw from a variety of therapeutic approaches, including Person-Centred, Psychodynamic, Gestalt, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and Transactional Analysis (TA). This way, we can tailor our sessions to best suit your individual needs.
I have valuable experience providing brief and open ended Talking Therapy, where Ive had the privilege of supporting individuals from diverse backgrounds and cultures. This experience has deepened my understanding of the different challenges people face and reinforced my commitment to providing inclusive, culturally sensitive support.
I work with clients dealing with a range of challenges, including anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, and self-confidence issues. I understand that life can be tough, and Im here to provide a compassionate space where we can work through these struggles together. My aim is to empower you to find your voice and develop coping strategies that truly resonate with you.
My own experience with a sensory impairment has greatly shaped my approach to counselling. It gives me unique insight into how lifes challenges can impact mental health, and I am dedicated to fostering resilience and growth in a supportive environment.
In our sessions, you can expect a friendly and collaborative approach. Well set goals together, and Ill guide you along your journey, always adapting to your needs. I believe in the power of our therapeutic relationship and aim to build a genuine connection that encourages trust and openness. Together, we can facilitate healing and personal development, helping you navigate your path toward greater well-being and self-acceptance.
